Lupe Fiasco landed on the 49th spot of The Source's Top 50 Lyrical Leaders. Other rappers that made the cut were Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Snoop Dogg, Black Thought & more.
In an age when denouncing violence and encouraging positive development in Rap seems to be a career killer, Lupe has defied the odds and emerged onto the scene with a more upbeat and positive meaning in his lyrics. To some Lupe's lyrical repertoire may seem like a contradiction to his true message but he manages to draw in a wider audience with it and open up the eyes of the Hip Hop community. Using his emotion as a tool, Lupe is not afraid to voice his opinion.

Lil Wayne should not even be here... Other than that good artists they just need to put them in the right order.

Wait... Rick Ross? Why is he there? This isn't food eating contest list.
